Going Bronde?
Not blonde, not brown, but a perfect hue
that is beautifully in between ...
“The color bronde is bold and fashionable,” says Ian Michael Black, Aveda Global Artistic Director for Hair Color, who creates the ultimate bronde for his clients in New York City, noting that the hue lends brightness and dimension to brunettes and adds richness to blondes. “It works for everyone, and looks gorgeous and fresh.”
To go bronde, Ian suggests that traditional blondes be toned down for a soft natural, carefree look; while dark-haired brunettes can go bronde with a subtle mix of honey beige and suede tones.
Jo McKay, Aveda European Technical Hair Specialist also sees the bronde surge in London. “This color is a reflection of what’s going on in the streets and media. Guests bring in images of bronde celebrities wanting the look, which I think is great because the color is often much more in harmony with skin tones and eyes colors, and the result is a color that looks expensive and sophisticated.”

Stressing the importance of a color consultation before taking the bronding plunge, Jen Roskey, Director of Hair Color at Civello Chicago says her clients are always happy with the results. “Each application is customized for the guest using the proper golden tones to enhance individual features; this approach is why this color can really add a soft, romantic, and sexy element to the hair,” Jen says.

After going bronde, Jen recommends keeping the color fresh with the use of the Color Conserve Line, including these three favorites:
