The Aveda Network’s many reasons to celebrate....
It’s officially the New Year and while we have beautiful things planned for 2015, we want to pause and celebrate 2014! We’ve had the opportunity to celebrate our “bests” ever since Horst Rechelbacher, a pioneering hairdresser, founded Aveda in 1978. Our global network gives their best to our guests, students, and planet every day and that’s a reason to celebrate.
In 2014 we’ve been honored in receiving some incredible awards that we are very proud of and happy to share the news with you. Organic Monitor, the global specialist research, consulting, and training company that focuses on global sustainable product industries, awarded Aveda with the 2014 Sustainability Leadership Award at the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit held in Paris; Aveda Pro Gülhizar Biricik, owner of the Aveda concept salon Guely & Pierre in Bremen, Germany, took the Top Hair award at the German Hairdressing Awards; and the CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) honored Aveda as the Eco Beauty Award Winner for 2014.
The year 2014 brought other important awards. Salon professional publication Behind The Chair declared Aveda the Favorite Prestige Beauty Brand of 2014, as voted by professionals from across the industry. Additionally, many of our products were named “the best” by fashion, beauty, and lifestyle publications around the world.
We’ve posted all these bests below because seeing them as a group reminds us of one very important truth: accomplishments like these don’t belong to any one salon, school, pro, or guest. They belong to all of us, together.
